In 2017, Mike started his first drifting season at his home track, Club Loose in Englishtown, NJ. Club Loose is known to be a large staple in the grassroots drifting community, with some of the world’s top drifters coming from this track. Mike quickly climbed up in the ranks at Club Loose while further developing his 3000GT drift car and wanted to take things to the next level and explore more tracks around the East Coast. In November of 2018, Mike participated in the “To Hell and Back” drifting road trip from the northeast to Orlando, FL to drive the OSW Black Friday drift event. While having a large media presence, this was also Mike’s first experience with a new track. This trip sparked the motivation for Mike to continue to expand his horizons and drive other tracks like Dover Speedway in Dover, DE for First State Drift events and Shenandoah Speedway in Shenandoah, VA for SwingSet, LLC. events. Mike’s 2019 and 2020 seasons were spent dialing in the 3000GT and sharpening his skills to eventually take part in his first competition in 2021. Mike participated in the US Drift Street Legal event at Shenandoah Speedway and had successful results. However, after putting the 3000GT into a competitive atmosphere, Mike realized it was time to move on to a more capable chassis. In 2021, Mike began the build of his 2005 CTS-V to mimic his 2006 CTS-V which had been his daily driver for 7 years prior. The only difference is that the 2005 would be a pro-am-level drift build. No expense was spared to build the car and in mid-2022, Mike was able to begin getting comfortable with the new chassis at tracks in Florida and New Jersey.
