Factory Specifications:
2000 Mazda mx-5
Performance Modifications:
Honda...K series, 2.4...K24A2 with Drag Cartel DIC cams, 50 VTC, RSX-S oil pump...approx 290 at the wheels. 2X Stock power. Lightweight flywheel, Exedy Stage 2 racing clutch Custom 3" exhaust, stainless header, two straight through mufflers. Quiet yet no power loss. Custom cold air intake K&N filter in fender well feeds aftermarket billet intake. (The one on the motor has hairline cracks at the flange which have been sealed with clear RTV...spare in box comes with car).
Interior Modifications:
Interior-full roll cage, trim carefully molded in around it to look factory. Race buckets (Kirkey) and Schroth harnesses for track safety, but also to keep occupants away from cage bars on street. Backdated earlier Miata dash for better fit around cage and lighter weight. Momo steering wheel. Aftermarket 400 watt four speaker audio system. Aftermarket engine management with data logger (Hondata KPro)
Exterior Modifications:
Lightweight fiberglass trunk lid with Blackbird Fabworx spoiler. Odyssey lightweight battery.
Wheels:
18x10.5 Enkei RPF1 wheels. That's 4.5 inches wider than stock per corner.
Tires:
Yokohama AO52 or khumo ACR 295
Suspension:
Suspension - custom coilovers and sway bars. Cockpit-adjustable Electronic shocks by Tractive. True dynamic suspension, control module buried in console with 3-axis accelerometers, that resists body roll and pitch in cornering, yet remains supple over bumps in the road. Tubular rear control arms (V8 Roadsters) and front subframe
