ABOUT JJOHNSON:

Racing a 1988 Firebird that was built by my son and I over 3 months. It has a 355 ci 11 to 1 with a hyd roller cam. TCI 350 with brake and a 36 element sprag. Dana 60 with 430 gears. Thanks to Larry @ Jegs, Jay Stowe, Engine re-builders( behind jegs) M&H tires (John) and many others. Oh Steve Grady (performance transmissions)...

jjohnson installing a new 1.93 low gear glide with trans brake. th350 just couldnt take the pressure.

jjohnson the first day didnt go as planned run a best of 11.81 at 113. dialed the car in at 11.9. first round ran an 11.93. 2nd round hit a slick spot on the track and had to back peddle twice and ran a 12.17 at 103. better luck next week.

He is 67 years old and driving this car. It has around 340 miles on it. Too cool huh. A friends car. My son and him talk a lot at the track. driveway seems a little slick> One more photo Tires look nice huh? Hey John its 58 outside and my son and I took the car for a test ride lol, my neighbors love it!
