1963 California Chassis Engineering Front engine dragster
EMBED TO SHARE
1963 Don Tuttle chassis (California Chassis Engineering)originally ran in BB/GD with a blown 354 Hemi on gas. 135" wb
355 Chevrolet small block, iron "fuelie" heads, mild Schneider hydraulic cam(the valve covers NEVER come off of this engine)and Hilborn 8 port fuel injection on methanol, Vertex mag, shorty glide, 49-54 olds rear end.
only thing left to "complete" the car, will duplicate the original metal flake "diner" vinyl later this year
Red, silver and blue metal flake with gold leaf lettering matching the original 60's cowl paint and lettering
Tires, Wheels, and Suspension:
33x10.5Wx15 rear slicks on Mehilich 8" wide Halibrand copies. 17x2.25 front tires on Honda CT-90 rims, anglia spindle mount hubs
Audio, Video, and Technology:
It has a fluid filled oil pressure guage with engine turned face, this is the ONLY guage, no tach, etc. Other than the 8 plug wires the wiring consists of 1 single wire from a kill switch to ground the mag to cut it off. No bells, no whistles, no weenie bars, just get in and go! Simplicity is good, less is more.
Special Thanks and Sponsors:
