Fastruck has been a series in the making since 1995. The series was originally called the "Classic Truck Series" founded by Bobby Diehl and Teddy Kempgins. Bobby and Teddy were the first dealers of the spec trucks in the entire country. In 1995, the "American Race Trucks" bought out the rights to the "Classic Truck Series" along with its dealers. Bobby and Teddy then started the "ARTS Touring Series" through a dealership network that spread nationwide. From Florida to Alaska and Texas to Pennsylvania, the "ARTS Touring Series" really took off with 22 dealers throughout the country, In 1998, a group of Argentina racing businessmen asked to use this concept to build 15 prototype trucks to be used to develop a road racing series in Argentina.
